Norman Mailer (1923-2007) son of a Southafrican jew and an adoring mother in brooklyn , newyork. His first Literary effort was a 250-page story called "Invasion from mars" which penned at the age of nine .How ever , it was not until he attended harvard that he decided to became a writer . In 1939, he graduated from Harvard university . During the World War ll mailor served as a Sergent in the United States Army . orginally he wanted to go to europe and be in the first wave of Invasion troops. In the Mid 1950,s mailor started to gain frame as an anti-establishment essayist.
